From the very start, we knew we wanted a wedding that was colourful, joyful and completely us – and Bourton Hall gave us the perfect canvas to bring that to life. From the breathtaking chapel and its ceiling that took our breath away on our first visit, to the beautiful grounds that welcomed our guests from all over the world, it felt like a place full of character, elegance and warmth.
We planned our day around whimsy and colour, inspired by autumn and Wes Anderson films like Fantastic Mr Fox and The Grand Budapest Hotel. Bourton Hall gave us the flexibility to create something truly personal – from colourful sashes and mirrorballs to our own signage and homegrown flowers, everything came together so naturally. The layout of the venue, with different spaces for dancing, quiet conversation and dining, worked perfectly for our guests and gave the day a brilliant flow.
We honestly could not have done it without our incredible Personal Wedding Manager, Emily Sarjant. She went above and beyond to make our ideas a reality – from tuning the piano so the bride’s dad could perform our first dance, to helping organise a surprise musical performance from our family during our breakfast the next day. Nothing was too much trouble and her calm, kind and capable approach meant we could relax and enjoy every moment, knowing everything was in safe hands.
Our day was a perfect celebration of our story, cultures and style, and we’ll always be grateful to Bourton Hall – and especially Emily – for making it feel so easy and so special. We’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.
